Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Kenner, LA. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel of up to 450 seniors, focusing on individuals with multiple chronic diseases.
- Deliver comprehensive, value-based outpatient care, seeing approximately 18 patients per day.
- Conduct patient visits Monday through Friday during clinic hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the last patient scheduled at 4:15 p.m.
- Collaborate with a dedicated support team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize administrative time included within your schedule to manage documentation and care coordination.
- Work exclusively in an outpatient clinical setting with no night or weekend shifts required.
- Participate in partnership opportunities after an initial period, with many physicians achieving partner status within 12-18 months.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
- Commitment to value-based care and the needs of a senior population.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
