Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our mission-driven, physician-led organization in Kenner, LA. As a Primary Care Physician in our full-time, outpatient setting, you will play a vital role in transforming healthcare for seniors by providing high-quality, value-based care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a senior patient population, focusing on those with multiple chronic conditions.
- Manage a small patient panel, with a maximum of 450 individuals, allowing for deeper patient relationships and personalized care.
- Conduct visits for up to 18 patients per day during clinic hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with the last appointment scheduled at 4:15 pm.
- Collaborate with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to ensure high-quality and coordinated care delivery.
- Engage in value-based care initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes and patient satisfaction among the senior population.
- Utilize administrative time included in your schedule for efficient care planning and documentation.
- Participate in a supportive and collegial environment with access to consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines.
- Refer patients to holistic health services offered by the clinic, which may include acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based care to seniors with complex health needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; candidates requiring visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.
