Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven healthcare team in Metairie, LA. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to a panel of adult and senior patients, focusing on those with multiple chronic diseases.
- Conduct routine examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and manage care plans to optimize patient health outcomes.
- Coordinate care with in-house consulting specialists, including Cardiology and Podiatry, and refer to additional specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with a dedicated support team, including a Medical Assistant, Scheduler, and Referral Specialist, to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
- Emphasize patient-centered, value-based care models to improve quality of life and reduce healthcare barriers for the senior population.
- Maintain a manageable daily patient load, with administrative time built into the schedule to support thorough care management and documentation.
- Participate in holistic health initiatives offered by the clinic, such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutritional counseling, to support patient well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements while upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical behavior.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Louisiana.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to diverse communities, including seniors with chronic health conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Open to Visa candidates.
