Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
Our physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time role in New Orleans, LA. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, outpatient primary care to a panel of senior patients, focusing on individuals with multiple chronic conditions.
- Manage a maximum patient panel of 450 individuals to ensure personalized, attentive care.
- Conduct an average of 18 patient visits per day within clinic hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The last patient appointment is scheduled at 4:15 p.m. to promote work-life balance.
- Collaborate with an integrated care team, including a dedicated Medical Assistant, Scheduler, and Referral Specialist.
- Participate in a value-based care model, focusing on quality outcomes and preventive health strategies for seniors.
- Utilize in-house consulting specialists such as cardiology and podiatry to support patient care.
- Leverage holistic health services, including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling, as part of whole-person care.
- Ensure all clinical documentation, administrative duties, and care coordination are completed within scheduled administrative time.
- Uphold organizational mission and values, actively contributing to a supportive and collaborative workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Residency training completed in Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine (FM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based care, particularly for the senior population.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary clinical team environment.
