Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) – New Orleans, LA – Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven healthcare organization in New Orleans, LA. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a panel of up to 450 patients, primarily seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and manage ongoing treatment for chronic and acute health concerns.
- Deliver care in a 100% outpatient setting, ensuring a focus on preventive medicine and disease management.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team, including a Medical Assistant, Scheduler, and Referral Specialist, to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Utilize value-based care models to drive improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain a manageable daily patient schedule (approximately 18 patients per day) to ensure quality interactions and thorough care.
- Participate in regular administrative time included within your schedule.
- Refer patients to in-house consulting specialists such as Cardiology and Podiatry as needed.
- Support holistic health initiatives, including access to acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition services for patients.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to value-based care and patient-centered service.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, clinic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- No nights or weekends required, supporting work/life balance.
- Clinic provides door-to-door transportation services for patients in need, fostering accessibility and continuity of care.
