Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our innovative healthcare organization in Atlanta, GA. As a physician-led group focused on transforming patient care for seniors, our goal is to provide affordable, VIP-level healthcare that supports better health outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a small, dedicated panel of patients, focusing primarily on seniors with multiple chronic health conditions.
- Deliver outpatient care exclusively, with no night or weekend requirements, ensuring optimal work/life balance for the physician.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach, seeing an average of 18 patients per day within a manageable panel size of up to 450 patients.
- Collaborate with an integrated care team, including medical assistants, schedulers, and referral specialists, to support high-quality, coordinated care delivery.
- Utilize value-based care principles to optimize patient outcomes and support long-term health and wellness.
- Participate in administrative duties within regular clinic hours, ensuring efficient and effective practice management.
- Engage with in-house consulting specialists in fields such as cardiology and podiatry, and refer patients as needed for holistic health services, including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Leverage the clinic’s door-to-door transportation service to support patient access and continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM); Geriatric Medicine training is also welcome.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to value-based care and experience working with senior or medically complex patient populations is preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient engagement skills.
