Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our reputable, physician-led healthcare organization in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible physician specializing in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine. Candidates will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, value-based care to a senior patient population, helping achieve our mission of providing affordable, VIP healthcare that improves patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of chronic diseases.
- Deliver patient-centered care to a small panel of up to 450 patients, ensuring strong physician-patient relationships and continuity of care.
- Work collaboratively with an integrated care team, including assigned Medical Assistants, Schedulers, and Referral Specialists, to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize a value-based care approach for a senior patient population, most of whom manage multiple chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient visits, averaging 18 patients per day, allowing for thorough and personalized care.
- Participate in administrative activities and team meetings as scheduled, with dedicated time built into your workday.
- Refer patients to in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines as appropriate.
- Collaborate with holistic health services, such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition services, to offer comprehensive care solutions.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with best practices and organizational protocols.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine (FM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to an older adult population.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions is preferred.
Work Schedule and Environment
- Full-time, outpatient clinic-based position.
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM; last patient scheduled at 4:15 PM.
- No nights or weekends required, supporting work-life balance for physicians.
- Administrative time is included in the daily schedule.
- Patient transportation provided at no charge when needed, ensuring accessibility for all patients.
