Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) – Richmond, VA – Full-time About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization in Richmond, VA. As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a vital role in transforming care for the senior population, focusing on delivering high-quality, value-based health services. The organization is committed to honoring seniors with affordable and comprehensive care, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a panel of senior patients, typically managing 3-5 chronic conditions per patient.
- Maintain a manageable patient panel size (up to 450 patients) to ensure personalized and effective care delivery.
- See approximately 18 patients per day, allowing for thorough visits and follow-up care.
- Utilize a dedicated care support team, including a Medical Assistant, Scheduler, and Referral Specialist, to streamline patient management and coordination of care.
- Engage in value-based care practices to improve patient outcomes and maintain high standards of clinical excellence.
- Work collaboratively with in-house consulting specialists such as Cardiology and Podiatry to address complex patient needs.
- Participate in holistic health services including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling to support overall patient wellness.
- Ensure administrative tasks are completed efficiently with dedicated time scheduled into your workday.
- Work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30am to 5:00pm, and last patient scheduled at 4:15pm. No nights or weekends are required.
- Support patient access by utilizing complimentary door-to-door transportation services offered to patients in need.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, especially to the senior population.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
