Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven healthcare organization in Virginia Beach, VA. This full-time, outpatient role plays a vital part in providing comprehensive, value-based primary care to a senior patient population. Our organization is committed to honoring seniors with affordable, high-quality care that improves health outcomes, and we are looking for a Primary Care Physician who shares this vision and dedication.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care services to a panel of up to 450 patients, primarily seniors managing multiple chronic conditions.
- Deliver value-based care focused on maximizing patient health outcomes and satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate ongoing management of chronic diseases.
- Work collaboratively within a dedicated care team, including medical assistants, schedulers, and referral specialists.
- See an average of 18 patients per day in a 100% outpatient setting.
- Maintain a regular Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last patient scheduled at 4:15 p.m.), and no required nights or weekends.
- Allocate scheduled time for administrative responsibilities to support high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate with in-house consulting specialists in areas such as cardiology and podiatry when needed.
- Support holistic health initiatives, including programs in acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition as offered by the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical protocols, standards, and regulations.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active medical license to practice in Virginia.
- Experience managing patients with multiple chronic illnesses is preferred.
- Commitment to patient-centered, value-based care.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
