Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our mission-driven team in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality primary care services to a panel of up to 450 senior patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment, focusing on the management of chronic diseases.
- Utilize a value-based care approach to optimize patient outcomes and promote better health for seniors.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated care team that includes a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Engage in regular administrative time, which is built into your schedule to support effective care planning and documentation.
- See an average of 18 patients per day, with the last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm, ensuring a manageable and sustainable workload.
- Participate in partnership opportunities within the organization, with a clear pathway typically available within 12-18 months.
- Support a positive work/life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule, no night or weekend shifts, and a strong emphasis on provider well-being.
- Take advantage of in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, as well as holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition support.
- Ensure access to care for all patients, including those requiring complimentary door-to-door transportation services.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing care for senior adults with complex chronic conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with patients, families, and care team members.
