Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a panel of up to 450 adult and senior patients, focusing on those with multiple chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop personalized care plans, and manage chronic disease care for your assigned patient population.
- Deliver care in a 100% outpatient setting, with no nights or weekends required.
- Utilize a Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm; the last patient is scheduled at 4:15 pm, ensuring a balanced work/life schedule.
- See an average of 18 patients per day, allowing time for meaningful patient interactions and administrative responsibilities.
- Work closely with a dedicated care team including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless clinical operations.
- Participate in value-based care initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and support the organization’s mission of improving access and quality of care for seniors.
- Benefit from administrative time included in your schedule to complete charting and coordinate care efficiently.
- Refer patients to in-house consulting specialists in areas such as cardiology and podiatry, as well as holistic health services including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition support.
- Leverage provided transportation services for patients who require assistance getting to and from appointments.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Experience working with senior or medically complex populations is preferred, though not required.
