Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our innovative healthcare team in Greensboro, NC. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to a predominantly senior patient population with multiple chronic conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Deliver outpatient care using a value-based care model, focusing on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Manage a patient panel size of up to 650 individuals, averaging 10-12 patients per day to ensure thorough and attentive care.
- Utilize a team-based approach, working alongside medical assistants, schedulers, referral specialists, and receiving full support from clinic leadership.
- Perform essential office procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- Participate in a call schedule shared among providers (for example, 1:32 weeks if there are 32 physicians in the market).
- Embody and promote the organization’s core values, aiming to enhance patient satisfaction, adhere to HEDIS compliance, and contribute to reducing hospital admissions.
- Engage patients in the clinic’s wellness-focused community, which includes health-promoting activities and transportation support as needed.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM).
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
- Current, unrestricted, and active license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
- Valid and current DEA registration.
- Proficiency in office-based procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
