Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Position Overview
Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing team in Pine Bluff, AR. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a physician who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care within an innovative, value-based healthcare model. The Primary Care Physician will work in a comfortable, accessible neighborhood clinic designed to foster a welcoming and wellness-focused community for patients—particularly seniors with complex health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care services to a diverse panel of senior patients, focusing on those managing multiple chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Utilize a value-based care approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes, emphasizing quality over quantity in every patient interaction.
- Maintain a manageable daily patient schedule (average 10-12 patients per day), allowing for personalized and attentive care.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and supportive leadership, to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
- Participate in a fair and manageable call schedule, contingent on the number of providers in the market.
- Promote patient engagement in wellness activities offered at the clinic, such as exercise and art programs designed for seniors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical outcomes by adhering to HEDIS compliance standards, supporting patient satisfaction, and reducing hospitalizations.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) is required.
- A fellowship in Geriatrics is considered a plus but is not a requirement.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Arkansas.
- Current DEA registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in office-based procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
