Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity at a new, innovative healthcare clinic opening in Tulsa, OK. This role is designed for a physician who is passionate about delivering value-based outpatient care to a senior patient population, providing continuity, respect, and a patient-centered approach within a supportive, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a panel of senior patients, many of whom present with multiple complex conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Manage a patient panel of up to 650, maintaining high standards of care and personalized attention.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and supportive leadership, to deliver coordinated care.
- Embrace and execute care within a value-based model, prioritizing patient satisfaction, HEDIS compliance, and reduction of hospitalizations.
- Utilize your clinical skills, including office procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as needed.
- Participate in a flexible call schedule based on the number of providers in the market, ensuring continuity of care for patients while maintaining work-life balance.
- Contribute to a culture of respect, collaboration, and wellness through involvement in activities and patient engagement programs offered at the clinic.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) required.
- Fellowship in Geriatrics is a plus but not required.
- Current, unrestricted, and active license to practice medicine as a physician in Oklahoma.
- Current DEA registration.
- Proficiency in essential outpatient procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care in a team-based environment.
