We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Kenner, LA. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care services to a panel of adult and senior patients, focusing on value-based care and chronic disease management.
- Manage a small patient panel (up to 450 patients), ensuring personalized attention and continuity of care.
- Conduct an average of 18 patient visits per day in a 100% outpatient clinic setting, with a Monday through Friday schedule (clinic hours 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm).
- Utilize dedicated administrative time included in your work schedule to ensure thorough documentation and care coordination.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including your own medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to optimize care delivery.
- Participate in holistic and preventative health initiatives, including coordination with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines.
- Support patient wellness through access to additional services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Utilize provided resources, including door-to-door transportation for patients in need, to enhance patient access and reduce barriers to care.
- Engage in partnership opportunities within the organization, with the majority of providers achieving partner status within 12-18 months.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one.
- Demonstrated commitment to value-based care and managing complex patient populations, particularly seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
