Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Pine Bluff, AR. As a key member of our innovative healthcare team, you will play a central role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care at a new, community-focused outpatient clinic. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care to a primarily senior patient population, many of whom have complex chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Manage an average daily patient load of 10-12 individuals, with a maximum panel size of 650 patients.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and leadership support staff.
- Utilize a value-based care model that emphasizes continuity, patient satisfaction, compliance with HEDIS measures, and reduction of hospital admissions.
- Participate in a call schedule based on the number of providers in the market (for example, 1:32 weeks if 32 physicians present).
- Provide office-based procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as needed.
- Actively contribute to a wellness-focused community through support for on-site patient activities such as exercise and art classes, which are provided at no cost to patients.
- Champion the organization’s mission to deliver compassionate, individualized care that enhances the lives of patients and their families.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with current, unrestricted, active license to practice medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) is required.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
- Current DEA registration.
- Proficiency in basic office procedures (suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, wound care).
- Strong commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based care.
