Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) – Kansas City, MO – Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting, focusing on value-based care for a senior patient population with complex medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Deliver quality patient care with a typical caseload of 10-12 patients per day and a panel size not exceeding 650 individuals.
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and full leadership support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with clinical quality measures, including HEDIS standards, and actively contribute to reducing hospital admissions and sick days among the patient population.
- Uphold the organization's values and patient satisfaction standards, contributing to an environment of trust and respect within the clinic.
- Participate in an equitable call schedule based on the number of physicians in the market, ensuring balanced work-life integration (for example, call is 1:32 weeks if 32 physicians are present).
- Utilize proficient procedural skills such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care as part of routine office practice.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) is required.
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Missouri.
- Current DEA registration.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with office-based procedures relevant to primary care.
