Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our full-time team in Pembroke Pines, FL. As a physician-led, mission-driven primary care provider, our organization focuses on delivering exceptional, value-based care to the senior population. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care services in an outpatient clinic setting, serving a senior patient population with complex, chronic medical needs.
- Manage a small patient panel (maximum of 450 patients) to ensure personalized and attentive care.
- See approximately 18 patients per day, allowing for in-depth interactions and comprehensive care planning.
- Coordinate with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to support patient care and streamline administrative processes.
- Utilize value-based care principles to achieve optimal patient outcomes and support the organization's mission of affordable, VIP healthcare for seniors.
- Participate in regular administrative time built into the schedule to complete documentation and care coordination tasks.
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with in-house consulting specialists in areas such as cardiology and podiatry, and refer patients as needed.
- Promote holistic health by coordinating with services such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling offered within the clinic.
- Work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm. No nights or weekends required, supporting work-life balance.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency training in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics.
- Commitment to value-based, patient-centered care.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
