The Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) role is a full-time opportunity in Sarasota, FL, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The average patient volume is intentionally kept low, at 10-12 patients per day, enabling you to devote the necessary time and attention to each individual. You will manage a panel size capped at 650 patients, ensuring continuity and quality of care. The call schedule is proportionally distributed among providers, with full support from a dedicated care team that includes medical assistants, schedulers, referral specialists, and leadership.

Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care for seniors with multiple chronic conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension
- Maintain a patient panel of up to 650 individuals, averaging 10-12 patient visits per day
- Conduct patient consultations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment in an outpatient setting
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team, including medical assistants, schedulers, and referral specialists
- Participate in and support value-based care initiatives, focusing on patient satisfaction, adherence to clinical guidelines (e.g., HEDIS compliance), and hospital admission reduction
- Utilize proficient PC skills for office procedures such as suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care
- Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Follow a regular Monday-Friday schedule, with call responsibilities determined by the number of providers in the market
- Support the implementation of wellness activities and initiatives that promote better health outcomes for patients
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive base salary with a total potential exceeding $300,000, including performance-based bonuses (up to 20% of base salary)

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM)
- Current, unrestricted, active license to practice medicine
- Current DEA registration
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is a plus but not required
- Experience and proficiency in office-based procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and wound care
