Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time position in St. Louis, MO. Our clinics are designed to support providers, patients, and families with comprehensive resources and a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care to a dedicated panel of senior patients, typically managing 18 patients per day.
- Provide care in a Monday through Friday clinic schedule (7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), with no night or weekend shifts required, allowing a healthy work/life balance.
- Manage a patient panel with a maximum of 450 patients, allowing for individualized attention and continuity of care.
- Work closely with a dedicated support team, including a Medical Assistant, Scheduler, and Referral Specialist, to ensure optimal patient experience and care coordination.
- Engage in value-based care practices, focusing on quality outcomes for patients with multiple chronic diseases.
- Utilize administrative time built into the schedule for charting, care coordination, and professional development.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiology and podiatry, as well as holistic health service providers offering acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition services.
- Benefit from patient transportation services, ensuring patients have access to the clinic regardless of mobility challenges.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to senior patients with complex health needs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, value-based care environment.
