Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time, 100% outpatient position with a focus on work-life balance and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a panel of senior patients, many of whom manage multiple chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient visits with an average of 18 patients per day, ensuring personalized and attentive care.
- Collaborate with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Utilize value-based care practices to drive improvements in patient outcomes and overall wellness.
- Engage in ongoing communication with specialists within the clinic, including cardiology and podiatry, to support holistic patient management.
- Participate in available holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling, to support the overall well-being of patients.
- Incorporate administrative and clinical documentation responsibilities into your daily schedule, with time allocated for these tasks.
- Maintain a manageable patient panel size, with a maximum of 450 patients, to ensure high-quality care and strong provider-patient relationships.
- Contribute to the mission of honoring seniors with affordable, VIP-level care that delivers better health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM) is required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to delivering care in a value-based and patient-centered environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred, though not required.
Employment Type and Schedule
- Full-time, 100% outpatient position.
- Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; last patient scheduled at 4:15 p.m.
- No nights or weekends required, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
