Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time position in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to a panel of senior patients, many of whom have multiple chronic conditions.
- Manage an average of 18 patients per day, ensuring each receives personalized, attentive care.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team, including your own Medical Assistant, Scheduler, and Referral Specialist.
- Utilize value-based care principles to deliver holistic, patient-centered healthcare and improve health outcomes.
- Coordinate care with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, to address complex patient needs.
- Participate in holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling, as available for your patients.
- Maintain a small patient panel (maximum 450 patients) to allow for deeper patient relationships and better care continuity.
- Ensure administrative tasks are completed within your scheduled time, supporting work/life balance.
- Adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and no night or weekend shifts.
- Support patients with transportation needs by utilizing the organization’s complimentary door-to-door transportation service.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Residency training completed in Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine (FM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to an aging population with multiple chronic conditions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
