Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our team in Gretna, LA on a full-time basis. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to a patient panel of seniors, typically managing patients with multiple chronic conditions.
- Deliver care under a value-based model, focused on improving health outcomes and quality of life for each patient.
- See an average of 18 patients per day, allowing for high-quality, personalized patient interactions.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team that includes your own medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Participate in coordinated care with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, and leverage holistic health services offered by the clinic such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Utilize administrative time included in your schedule to complete documentation and care planning.
- Maintain a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and no night or weekend shifts required.
- Support the organization’s mission to provide VIP-level, patient-centered care to the senior population in Gretna, LA.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Commitment to value-based, patient-centered primary care.
