Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our full-time outpatient team in Metairie, LA. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a dedicated panel of senior patients, focusing on those with multiple chronic conditions.
- Deliver outpatient care in a clinical setting, managing a maximum panel size of 450 patients to ensure personalized attention and continuity of care.
- Average of 18 patient visits per day, with administrative time integrated into your daily schedule.
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary care team, including a dedicated medical assistant, scheduler, and referral specialist to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule, with clinic hours from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (last patient scheduled at 4:15 PM), ensuring no night or weekend shifts for improved work/life balance.
- Practice value-based care, focusing on quality metrics and patient health outcomes.
- Utilize in-house consulting specialists such as cardiology and podiatry, and coordinate holistic health services including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition as appropriate for patient needs.
- Contribute to the mission and vision of improving healthcare access for seniors in Metairie, LA.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Louisiana.
- Open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
- Strong commitment to value-based, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
