We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Tucson, AZ. As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, value-based healthcare to local Medicare patient populations at our innovative neighborhood primary care centers. Our care model focuses on improved outcomes, preventive medicine, and patient satisfaction, supported by robust clinical and administrative teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse Medicare patient panel, supporting their health and wellness needs.
- Utilize a value-based healthcare model to deliver equitable, outcome-driven care that reduces hospital admissions and enhances preventive medicine practices.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary care team, including scribes, medical assistants, and social workers, to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Manage a manageable daily patient volume, averaging 13-16 patients per day, allowing for personalized and thorough visits (20 minutes for routine visits, 40 minutes for new or complex cases).
- Employ electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Canopy and Greenway, to document and track patient information efficiently.
- Engage in community health initiatives and wellness activities offered at the clinic, such as exercise classes, educational events, and wellness programs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners (NPs), to deliver comprehensive care and support clinic operations.
- Access on-site laboratory services and specialist consultations through RubiconMD to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
- Participate in care team meetings to review patient cases, set care goals, and track quality metrics that drive incentive bonuses.
- Support patient access through initiatives such as local transportation options and community engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted, and non-probationary state medical license.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are required to support our diverse patient population.
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics is preferred but not required.
- Open only to physicians who have completed residency training (no current residents).
