Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our innovative healthcare practice in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time opportunity is designed for a physician who is passionate about delivering best-in-class care in a patient-centered, value-based outpatient setting. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and senior patients, with a focus on managing complex chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
- Deliver high-quality, outpatient care to a daily patient panel averaging 10-12 individuals, with a maximum panel size of 650 patients.
- Collaborate with a dedicated care team, including a medical assistant, scheduler, referral specialist, and receive ongoing support from leadership to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in a value-based care delivery model that emphasizes patient satisfaction, adherence to HEDIS compliance measures, and reduction in hospital admissions and sick days.
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment by supporting company values and engaging in community wellness programs, such as exercise and art activities for seniors.
- Utilize proficient PC skills to perform office-based procedures, including suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies, and basic wound care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in a physician rotation call schedule, determined by the total number of providers in the market.
- Ensure continuity of care through effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM); fellowship in Geriatrics is a plus but not required.
- Current, unrestricted, and active license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
- Current and valid DEA registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency with in-office procedures, including suturing and basic wound care.
