Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient facility
- Manage a patient panel averaging 18-25 patients per day

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine physical exams, diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Provide patient education on preventive health measures and treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff for coordinated patient care
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols
- Perform standard primary care procedures as clinically indicated
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and ethical standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Active Connecticut state license required
- Active DEA registration for Connecticut or willingness to transfer
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to start by mid-June, pending credentialing
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
