Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on current best practices and patient needs
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to support wellness and disease prevention
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) preferred; eligibility for licensure required
- Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care or family medicine setting
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) by an accredited certifying body
