- Prepare schematic, design development, and construction document phase estimates.
- Conduct accurate quantity take-offs using On-Screen Takeoff or similar software.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to fully understand project scope and estimate requirements.
- Obtain, review, and compare supplier and trade partner proposals and pricing.
- Serve as a resource to project management by providing cost information and developing estimates for design changes at all stages.
- Participate in on-site meetings with clients, owners, staff, and trade partners.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
- Assist in preconstruction management, including design assist, value management, and bidding processes.
- Support the Job Captain on bid day, review trade partner bids, and help ensure clear scopes of work are provided to all bidders.
- Assist with bid leveling and the buyout process.

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (not required).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related role preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and take-off software such as On-Screen Takeoff.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
