The Power Monitoring Technician is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining power monitoring systems, including both the hardware and software components essential for accurate and reliable electrical metering. This full-time role requires hands-on technical expertise in inspecting, installing, replacing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining power meters for a wide range of client facilities. Power Monitoring Technician - Summary- Responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining power monitoring systems (hardware and software)
- Performs inspections, installations, replacements, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power meters
- Ensures effective communication and integration between metering hardware and associated systems
- Works with technical documentation, including circuit diagrams and electrical drawings
- Utilizes industry-standard testing and diagnostic equipment
- Install, configure, and maintain new and existing power monitoring systems
- Inspect, repair, replace, and troubleshoot power meters at client facilities
- Use specialized configuration tools to ensure system integration and communication
- Interpret and work from circuit diagrams, electrical drawings, and maintenance manuals
- Prepare accurate service documentation and business reports as required

- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide clear, professional communication

- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, electrical theory, or military training
- 2-4 years of experience as a field service engineer or technician with electrical, electro-mechanical, or electronics-related equipment
- Proficiency using test and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, AC clamp meters, and load banks
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation and maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with low and medium voltage switchgear
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client correspondence
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
