The Power Monitoring Technician is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining power monitoring systems, including both the hardware and software components essential for accurate and reliable electrical metering. Power Monitoring Technician - Summary
- Responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining power monitoring systems (hardware and software)
- Performs inspections, installations, replacements, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power meters
- Ensures effective communication and integration between metering hardware and associated systems
- Works with technical documentation, including circuit diagrams and electrical drawings
- Utilizes industry-standard testing and diagnostic equipment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain new and existing power monitoring systems
- Inspect, repair, replace, and troubleshoot power meters at client facilities
- Use specialized configuration tools to ensure system integration and communication
- Interpret and work from circuit diagrams, electrical drawings, and maintenance manuals
- Prepare accurate service documentation and business reports as required
- Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide clear, professional communication

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, electrical theory, or military training
- 2-4 years of experience as a field service engineer or technician with electrical, electro-mechanical, or electronics-related equipment
- Proficiency using test and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, AC clamp meters, and load banks
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation and maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with low and medium voltage switchgear
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client correspondence
