POS Field Service Engineer - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site support and maintenance for POS systems, back-office hardware, and network infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to VeriFone POS devices, associated peripherals, and networking equipment.
- Install, upgrade, and configure hardware components and software as required by business operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support processes, configurations, and service activities for each location.
- Provide training and guidance to store personnel on proper use and troubleshooting of technology systems.
- Coordinate support efforts and communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate's degree in IT, Computer & Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in desktop support, helpdesk, or customer support settings.
- Demonstrated experience supporting POS systems, particularly VeriFone VASC, Commander, or similar hardware.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with hardware, network devices, printers, scanners, and payment terminals.
- Valid VeriFone VASC Commander/Topaz/Ruby 2 Certification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel extensively as required to support multiple retail locations.
