Plumbing SuperintendentThe Plumbing Superintendent position is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating all phases of plumbing system installations on a range of commercial projects. This full-time opportunity in Dallas, TX, is designed for an experienced professional who can ensure that every project meets the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Plumbing Superintendent, you will play a vital role in supervising plumbing teams, enforcing company safety protocols, and delivering on complex installation projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities- Directly supervise the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems on projects varying from small commercial jobs to large-scale, multi-system projects.
- Coordinate the activities of plumbing foremen and crews, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, blueprints, and applicable plumbing codes.
- Administer and enforce the company safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate project coordination and resolve any issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals and trades to integrate plumbing systems with broader project requirements.
- Work in a variety of physical environments, including outdoor job sites and areas exposed to varying weather conditions.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards, implementing corrective actions to prevent workplace injuries.
- At least 8 years of verified experience in the plumbing trade, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a commercial setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing blueprints, specifications, and relevant codes.
- Familiarity with blueprints from other major construction trades.
- Expertise in all types of plumbing systems, including domestic water and medical gas systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and client interaction.
- Proven ability to supervise multiple foremen and coordinate large teams on complex projects.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to schedule, plan, and deliver projects on time.
- Capability to work in physically demanding positions, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., and in awkward or confined spaces as required by project needs.
