Plumbing Estimator - Summary- Responsible for the preparation and submission of bids and estimates for plumbing systems in commercial and industrial projects.
- Works with preconstruction and project management teams to ensure accurate and timely estimations.
- Collaborates with clients, design firms, and CAD staff throughout the bidding and design-build processes.
- Ensures all estimates comply with industry standards and organizational safety policies.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of bid documents and attend pre-bid meetings to gather necessary project information.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Utilize Quote Express or similar estimating software for accurate and efficient estimate preparation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align project budgets with design requirements.
- Prepare and submit formal proposals, ensuring all terms and specifications are clearly outlined and competitive.
- Engage in client interface to clarify project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Maintain knowledge of current safety, insurance, and bonding requirements as they relate to the bidding process.
- Archive and manage technical data and project records for future reference and compliance.
