Plumbing Estimator - Summary
- Provide accurate and comprehensive plumbing estimates for commercial projects.
- Support preconstruction and value management initiatives through detailed cost analysis and proposal development.
- Collaborate with division leadership to produce complete project proposals and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal estimating teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare full plumbing estimates and proposals from inception to completion, utilizing current estimating platforms.
- Maintain and update estimating databases, perform detailed takeoffs, request and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing, and prepare comprehensive recap documents.
- Develop and present project proposals that highlight company capabilities, including engineering and coordination expertise.
- Guide and oversee support staff involved in the estimate and proposal process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and manage client engagement opportunities, actively pursuing new business that aligns with company objectives.
- Foster and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and strategic business partners.
- Review project proposals to determine schedules, budgets, and resource requirements, making recommendations for alternative methods or materials to optimize value engineering.
- Support ethical contract and vendor negotiations to maintain company standards and project goals.
- Participate in company and industry networking events and seminars to stay current with best practices and emerging trends.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Quickpen / AutoBid or similar estimating software platforms.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with project-based estimating databases.
- Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds, read detailed construction drawings on screens and paper, and navigate uneven surfaces or stairs on project sites.
