Plant Manager - Summary
The Plant Manager is accountable for the full operational performance and regulatory compliance of the assigned facility. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring all aspects of production, safety, environmental stewardship, and quality control are met or exceeded. Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, including MSHA, OSHA, permit conditions, and air/water quality requirements.
- Enforce strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures, promptly addressing any unsafe actions, conditions, or behaviors.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to site supervisors, foremen, and operations managers regarding production and operational matters.
- Oversee and optimize stripping, mining, crushing, and reclamation plans to maximize cost-effectiveness and resource utilization.
- Maintain material quality standards above customer expectations and swiftly address any deviations or quality concerns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external sales teams to align production output with customer demand and scheduling requirements.
- Deliver comprehensive performance reports to site leadership, outlining operating efficiencies and key performance indicators.
- Prepare and present monthly financial summaries for review by location leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Lead permit coordination, mine planning, aggregate production scheduling, and maintain daily collaboration with the Aggregate Division General Manager.
- Oversee multiple locations within the division, with a primary focus on the main operational site.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by upper management to meet evolving organizational needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to safety as a core operational principle, with a proven safety record.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
- Working knowledge of crushing, washing, aggregates, and asphalt production operations.
- Familiarity with mine planning, stripping, extraction, and reclamation practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy to support data-driven decision making.
- Strong planning, organizational, supervisory, communication, and observational skills.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and functional testing as required by company policy.
