Physician Assistant – Vascular Surgery (PA-C) Summary
- Full-time position supporting a high-volume, specialized vascular surgery practice.
- Primary responsibilities include surgical first-assist, inpatient management, and limited outpatient care.
- Structured schedule with rotating four 10-hour shifts and predictable call coverage.
- Integration into a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality vascular care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as first-assist in vascular surgeries, working alongside board-certified vascular surgeons.
- Manage perioperative care for vascular surgery patients, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and postoperative management.
- Provide inpatient care, including daily rounds, patient assessments, care planning, and coordination with nursing and ancillary staff.
- Participate in outpatient follow-up visits as needed, ensuring continuity of care for patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and clinical procedures in the electronic health record system.
- Participate in rotating call coverage, averaging 6-7 nights per month, and one weekend per month.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a collegial environment, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification.
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant.
- Demonstrated experience in vascular surgery or a closely related surgical specialty is required.
