Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Internal Medicine Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and interpret medical and social histories for both male and female patients
- Conduct medical screenings, physical exams, and wellness assessments
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic data; order additional tests as needed
- Provide contraceptive counseling, emergency contraception, and reproductive health services
- Assess and manage internal medicine conditions and genitourinary health issues
- Deliver care for basic sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and provide appropriate treatment
- Offer wellness and weight management services
- Provide prenatal, perimenopausal, and menopausal care
- Serve as a clinical consultant and resource for staff; participate in ongoing staff training and meetings
- Manage clinical emergencies and participate in after-hours coverage as needed
- Perform other assigned duties to support the healthcare team

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current state license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification
- Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification
- DEA license and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Completion of a formal training program at an accredited institution
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to learning new clinical skills and medical procedures
- English proficiency required; Spanish language skills are a plus
