We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our small, stable internal medicine office in a full-time capacity. As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and a variety of diagnostic procedures in an internal medicine and primary care setting.
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions across adult populations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tools to inform patient care decisions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with current clinical guidelines and state regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, preventive health measures, and medication adherence.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and relevant state licensing guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing patient follow-up, including monitoring treatment progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a PA or NP in the state of North Carolina.
- National certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP-C or FNP-C), as applicable.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.
- Experience in internal medicine or primary care is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
