Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Internal Medicine Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient assessments and document medical histories
- Perform physical examinations and administer diagnostic procedures
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions for adult patients
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
- Formulate and implement effective treatment plans, including prescribing appropriate medications
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, preventive health, and treatment options
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in ongoing patient care coordination and communication

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted North Carolina license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- 1+ years of experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred, but new graduates will be considered
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-based care model
