Physician Assistant (PA) - Family Medicine Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide patient and family education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and wellness topics
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Experience in family medicine or outpatient primary care preferred, but not required
- Excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills
