As a Physician Assistant (PA-C), you will be responsible for providing thorough patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in both clinical and field settings. Working under the supervision of the Government Medical Director, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and oversee paramedics in accordance with the State of Texas, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), and federal standards. Your role is integral to supporting specialized training programs, maintaining medical readiness, and contributing to the success of healthcare operations at Decypher.

Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive medical care and oversight of clinical operations in both clinic and field settings.
- Work under the supervision of the Government Medical Director as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Support specialized training programs and medical readiness activities.
- Participate in direct patient care, peer review, and documentation in electronic medical records.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise paramedics according to State of Texas and NREMT standards.
- Document patient encounters using electronic medical record systems (MHS Genesis).
- Conduct peer reviews and precept non-privileged providers as directed by the Government Medical Director.
- Support flight medicine standards for medical clearances and human performance activities as credentialed.
- Perform patient evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments in clinical, training pool, and field environments.
- Provide medical coverage and professional assessments for training activities and student progression.
- Participate in weekly meetings with medics and physicians to review patient status and care plans.
- Report activities and outcomes to appropriate government oversight and databases, such as HPUT.
- Adhere to a flexible work schedule, including extended hours and rotating shifts, as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in any U.S. state.
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in Family Medicine, Flight Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, perform examinations and procedures, communicate effectively, respond to emergencies, and work safely in a clinical environment using appropriate PPE.
