As a Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery (PA-C), your week will primarily follow a Monday through Friday schedule, with approximately five days of on-call duty per month. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthopedic surgeon in surgical procedures involving the hand and upper extremities, including both elective and trauma cases
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
- Develop and implement treatment plans under the supervision of the attending surgeon
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress, maintain accurate medical records, and communicate findings with the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, surgical procedures, and postoperative care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the orthopedic surgery group
- Participate in on-call rotation approximately five days per month

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification and licensure to practice
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Prior experience in orthopedic surgery or a related surgical specialty is preferred, but not required
