Physician Assistant – Occupational Health (PA-C) Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations for employees.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and other regulatory exams as required.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including referrals to specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and occupational health professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide education and counseling to employees on occupational health and safety practices.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in workplace health promotion and injury prevention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including completion of necessary documentation for work-related injuries, workers' compensation, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in New Jersey.
- Current DEA and CDS registration required.
- Demonstrated experience in occupational health or related medical specialty.
- DOT Certification required.
- MRO (Medical Review Officer) certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
