Physician Assistant – Neurology (PA-C) Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including patient histories, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Assist in formulating differential diagnoses and developing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a neurologist.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures as indicated for neurology patients.
- Perform bedside procedures and assist in minor interventions as required within the scope of practice.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnostic findings, treatment plans, medication management, and lifestyle modifications for neurological health.
- Monitor patient progress, document findings and interventions in electronic health records, and communicate updates to supervising physicians and care teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and continuing education activities to stay current on best practices in neurology.
- Provide support during neurology clinics, assist with follow-up appointments, and facilitate care coordination for patients with complex needs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and organizational policies in all aspects of patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Previous clinical experience in neurology or a related medical specialty is preferred, though new graduates with strong interest in neurology are encouraged to apply.
