Physician Assistant – Gynecologic Oncology (PA-C) Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and documentation.
- Formulate differential diagnoses and develop patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order, interpret, and analyze laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies (such as x-rays and lab results) to guide treatment decisions.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide surgical assistance as part of the gynecologic oncology team, participating in perioperative care and follow-up.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain precise, timely, and accurate medical records to support quality care and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of protocols, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Texas state license as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in good standing.
- Current Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant; experience in gynecologic oncology preferred but not required.
