These include arterial line insertions, chest tube placements, and line changes. The Physician Assistant – Cardiac Surgery ICU (PA-C) will also cover cardiac surgery ICU, telemetry units, manage new consults, handle outpatient calls, and perform history and physical (H&P) updates. Approximately 30% of your responsibilities will be direct ICU care. Notably, this role does not include operating room (OR) duties or daily progress notes; documentation is focused on procedural interventions and significant events.
To qualify for this Physician Assistant – Cardiac Surgery ICU (PA-C) role, candidates must maintain active board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), hold a valid North Carolina state license, and possess an active DEA registration.
