The role of Physical Therapy Clinic Director (DPT, PT) is a pivotal leadership position within a thriving outpatient rehabilitation environment. As a Physical Therapy Clinic Director (DPT, PT), you will be tasked with managing the clinic’s staffing needs, scheduling, and providing ongoing training and mentorship to both clinical and support staff. You will play a key role in guiding clinical staff in the evaluation and treatment of patients, ensuring that evidence-based practices are consistently applied. The Physical Therapy Clinic Director (DPT, PT) is also responsible for approving time off requests, reviewing bi-weekly timecards, and understanding each team member’s employment status and hour requirements. In addition, you will ensure that all EMR documentation is completed in accordance with company guidelines, maintaining compliance and accuracy in patient records.
Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will engage with organizational leadership to develop strategic initiatives and foster a culture of excellence. Leading by example, you will inspire your team to provide the highest quality of clinical care and customer service. You will also be responsible for implementing customer service and employee experience strategies, providing coaching and training as needed to promote a positive, patient-centered environment. The Physical Therapy Clinic Director (DPT, PT) will take ownership of the clinic’s financial performance, employee productivity, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with company goals and benchmarks.
Monitoring and analyzing weekly and monthly reports is a crucial aspect of the role, as you will use these insights to develop and implement immediate strategic plans for clinic improvement. The Physical Therapy Clinic Director (DPT, PT) will also oversee inventory management, delegating ordering responsibilities for office, cleaning, and clinical supplies. Working with the facilities team, you will address equipment needs and clinic maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited institution, hold current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, and maintain CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of clinical experience, particularly in outpatient, orthopedic, or sports rehabilitation settings. Leadership experience and the ability to manage a diverse team are essential, as is a thorough understanding of HIPAA laws and compliance requirements.
