Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists.
- Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever appropriate.
- Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care.
- Directs support staff to achieve patients functional goals.
- Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and care plans, maintains prescriptions and signatures.
- Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.
- Physically demanding environment requiring lifting, transferring, and supporting up to 50 pounds.
- May require irregular hours and travel within branch coverage area.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
- Current, unrestricted PT license for the state of work.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare facility.
- Must have a dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and auto insurance per state laws.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
