As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will conduct comprehensive orthopedic and sports-focused evaluations for a diverse patient population. Your responsibilities include performing movement screens and readiness assessments to determine the appropriate course of care. You will design and implement goal-oriented treatment plans that address the unique rehabilitation and performance needs of each patient, with a particular emphasis on sports-specific demands. Utilizing your clinical expertise, you will administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercise programs, neuromuscular training, and conditioning techniques tailored to the individual. For those with a background in hockey or similar sports, you will have the opportunity to apply specialized interventions such as skating mechanics training, lower-extremity power development, and shoulder stability exercises.

The Physical Therapist (PT) will maintain detailed records of patient progress, regularly adjusting treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside physicians, orthopedic specialists, athletic trainers, and coaching staff to deliver comprehensive care. Patient and family education is a critical aspect of the role, empowering individuals to continue their rehabilitation at home and reduce their risk of future injuries. Upholding the highest standards of clinical practice, documentation, and confidentiality is essential. The Physical Therapist (PT) will also contribute to fostering a supportive, team-oriented clinic environment, sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues as needed.

Qualified candidates for the Physical Therapist (PT) position must hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program and possess a current, valid physical therapy license. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required. While extensive experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or sports rehabilitation settings is preferred, the role is open to applicants eager to expand their clinical skills and gain valuable experience in a dynamic setting. Experience with athletes, especially in hockey, skating, or field and court sports, will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate brings a strong interest in sports medicine, an understanding of rehabilitation progression, and a commitment to supporting patients’ safe return to play.
