Physical Therapist (PT) Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time opportunity in Kansas. This role is based in an outpatient clinic with a primary focus on orthopedic cases, while also offering exposure to some neuro cases. The clinic is equipped with a modern EMR system (Prompt) and operates in a collaborative and supportive environment, prioritizing patient-centered care to help individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients to develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans addressing pain, mobility, and function.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for primarily orthopedic, as well as some neuro, conditions in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Monitor patient progress, adapt treatment plans as necessary, and document all clinical activities using the Prompt EMR system.
- Collaborate closely with a team including other Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to deliver high-quality care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise regimens, and strategies for injury prevention and long-term health.
- Maintain a patient caseload of approximately 10–12 individuals per day, with flexibility in scheduling to support work-life balance.
- Participate in continuous professional development and mentorship programs to enhance clinical skills, especially if newly graduated.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license, or eligibility for licensure, in the state of Kansas.
- Outpatient clinical experience is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive comprehensive mentorship and training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an outgoing personality suitable for a friendly and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and with a multidisciplinary care team.
