Physical Therapist (PT) – Northern Mississippi – Full-time About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our premier pain management group in northern Mississippi. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, the Physical Therapist (PT) will play a crucial role in designing and implementing therapy plans aimed at relieving pain, improving mobility, and restoring function for patients with a range of conditions, with a primary focus on chronic pain and spinal issues. Our facility is proud to host a fully staffed physical therapy department and a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facility (CARF) certified Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Outpatient Program. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on patient outcomes and collaborate with a highly experienced team of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to develop individualized therapy plans focused on pain relief and functional improvement.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, dry needling, posture awareness, gait training, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-evaluation, cryotherapy, heat stimulation, electrical stimulation, virtual reality modalities, and ultrasound as appropriate.
• Work closely with physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, interdisciplinary care for each patient.
• Manage a daily caseload of 8–10 appointments (with a hard cap at 12), primarily serving patients with chronic pain.
• Document patient progress, update therapy plans based on ongoing evaluations, and communicate effectively with both patients and team members regarding treatment goals and outcomes.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of therapy services and contribute to maintaining CARF accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with at least 2 years in an outpatient orthopedic setting if meeting the minimum experience requirement.
• Active Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in Mississippi, or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong manual therapy skills and experience working with chronic pain and spinal conditions are highly valued.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient education abilities.

Team and Work Environment

You will be joining a collaborative team that includes five physicians and ten mid-level practitioners across three locations. All new patients are initially seen by a physician, after which a physician assistant places the order for in-house physical therapy. This structure ensures each patient receives a comprehensive and coordinated plan of care.
